If you’re on this page, chances are that you take your fitness seriously. For more information on a new supplement marketed to increase your body’s HGH (human growth hormone) production, check out genf20plus-reviews.com for information about GenF20 Plus.

You probably have heard of the Garmin name way before you got started reading this article. If you already have a GPS system in your car, it is possible that it is a Garmin as it is the best selling brand. And nowadays Garmin has gone one step further and went about building GPS systems that worn on the wrist. When Garmin first started creating the wrist worn units they were not that that popular. This can be blamed on the size it had to be to have all the technology necessary. The size of the wrist worn devices were approximately the same size as the normal Garmin.

The size issue has been fixed when Garmin launched their 305 series of wristband GPS systems. This new unit is much smaller than its predecessors, still it is still bigger than a standard wrist watch.

If you are the sporting type and prefer to keep up with your heart rate, you will like the fact that this device features a heart rate monitor built in. This was done to target individuals who take their workouts and adventures seriously. Since they also made this device waterproof, you don’t have to worry if it begins raining while you’re running or biking.

As Garmin made the new unit concave, it really fits around your wrist very comfortably. And the screen itself is a huge wide screen display, making this device truly easy to read.

The Garmin Forerunner 305 comes with a lithium-ion battery which can be recharged with the included AC adapter. Also included with this GPS device is a charging cradle that you can connect to your computer in order to charge the battery, much like an iPod.

Even though the GPS doesn’t have all the features of the bigger vehicle units, it has everything you will need. You can program in certain places like your home or your starting point and save these locations for future use. If you hit a lot of different destinations, you can save them to program an exercise path.

And aside from the GPS features, the exercise features are really fantastic. You will be able to determine your heart rate and how many calories you have burned throughout your exercise program. Some people like competition and perform really well when competing, and this GPS device allows you to compete against the computer. This adds some entertainment into your workout session.

Amazon.com offers this GPS device and other GPS units in the 305 series. They are selling this unit these days for $128 which is a lot less than the retail price. And if you end up buying this through Amazon, you save over 50% off the retail price.

This wrist unit has a lot more features that we never even covered here, so if you’re searching for other features, this Garmin GPS unit may have them. Before buying any other wrist worn unit, I would strongly advise you check out the Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver with heart rate monitor. This is an extremely well constructed piece of equipment and because it is producedcreated by Garmin you know you will be paying for a high quality unit.

Garmin nuvi 2360LMT: Your Own Personal “Smart†Chauffeur

Sunday, April 17th, 2011

GPS Devices seem like their a dime a dozen nowadays , well minus the dime, and really add more than a dozen. These units have changed from just displaying the route to arrive at your destination. I didn’t realize how much everything had changed until recently ; for a long time , I was totally against getting a GPS unit . I believed it was basically me throwing my money away when I could just go online , type where I wanted to go and print out my driving directions .

But then a day came along when I didn’t have a choice. My son, daughter-in-law and the grandkids bought me and my husband the Garmin nuvi 2360LMT for Christmas. Also , my son works on cars , so he cheerfully volunteered to install it for me and ran out to the driveway before I could even utter a syllable of protest . As I mentioned earlier , no choice.

That became the best decision I “never” made. Before , I used to not quite focus on driving with my printed directions , almost leading to a few car wrecks back in the day, but with my new Garmin nuvi, it speaks the directions to me. A different previous issue ? I’ve been known to get lost a few times due to a work zone or just losing my way with my paper printout , but this little Garmin automatically gives me a new route if I go off track . The 2360LMT also has a voice activated navigation feature – which means I don’t have to worry about typing into the touchscreen keyboard all that much.

The model they gave us also includes free lifetime traffic and map updates, so we’re better equipped to handle any loop the “open road” has to toss our way. It’s also got a neat ecoRoute feature that calculates the most fuel efficient route to drive – hey, even grandparents like us should “go green” as often as possible . Our top two features are the myTrends, which has already started predicting where we’re going based on our previous driving patterns ( and that’s before we input the destination), and trafficTrends, which lets us know about work zones or traffic delays that we want to steer clear of .

My son and his wife ? They’re happy I’ve stopped fumbling around with paper directions while driving and losing my way once in a while (well, maybe it was once or twice a week).

Me and my husband? It’s like we hired our very own chauffeur. I mean , we do the actual driving , but our amazing Garmin nuvi 2360LMT seems to do almost all of the thinking.
